Stylist Side: Weekend Warrior
Affectionately titled, but this weekend went by so quickly, and as always, I tracked it as best as I possibly could. ;)
My weekend started off nice and early Saturday morning, as I had a busy day of meetings ahead of me. So, I went to play in a few new goodies and one that is slowly becoming an everyday addiction.
As pictured above, this was me playing with a natural palette (the orange in the crease), a soft pink from Maybelline, an electric blue from F.O.G, and a baby blue from Jane cosmetics. But before I did this look, I applied my new eyeshadow base from L’Oreal.
*As a tip, even though I trust my eyeshadow base, I find that a little concealer on the lid keeps the shadow even LONGER!* Normally its good for 8 hrs, but a touch of concealer will stretch it!* Yes for such things. Along with a few newbies I’ve picked up, MAKEUPFOREVER’s traveling mist and set, and SMASHBOX’s BB Cream (which will be reviewed soon) in Medium, and a fave I CANNOT live without, happens to be EYE’M Tired from Hard Candy. Best $5 spent thus far, it is a de-puffer and an eye brightener (applied before concealer) and in conjunction with my concealer, relaxes and hides the bags from sleepless nights, and the lines that appear from time to time around my eyes.
Which now brings us to Sunday’s look. Its fun, relaxed, and this was my #OOTD for church. I went basic on the Skinnies, pulled out one of my many striped tops, this one being a racer back tank, and my sweater blazer all from EXPRESS. Found my black, peep-toe Anne Maries and went for it. I stacked my accessories on my wrist, and wore an awesome leather bound, brown feather and tassle from this sweet little jewelry boutique in the mall. I pulled on a trio palette from NYX on the eyes here, mixing bright blues and pinks, and smoked out the corners. Lined my eyes with a charcoal grey gel from Sonia Kashuk, and played in my Almond lip liner ($4) and Stockholm Lip Cream($4) and left the building!
This was my busiest weekend, and now probably one of my longest posts in a while!!! LOL. But this was probably one of the best weekends where I can say I actually got alot of things accomplished! From site setup, to client consulting, I can only say that I hope this continues! It is coming up on 2 years and I can’t stop thanking you all for all the support!
